Creating Featherwood jewelry starts from laminating a broad palette of colored hardwood veneer, most of which I pressure dye myself, into stacks of 300 layers or so.  The lamination is cut into blocks, then curved slabs and finally into smaller shapes.  These are made into jewelry by carefully cutting and smoothing them with very close work on a band saw and sanders.  Each piece of jewelry receives several coats of a durable finish to provide worry free wear for years to come.

The nature of this process insures that no two pieces are ever identical and are truly one of a kind jewelry; the reverse side of the earrings are always different from the front.  I personally execute all craftwork from start to finish and unconditionally guarantee all my work. It’s my hope everyone who wears my jewelry will enjoy them as much as I enjoy making them.
