Because it's fun, almost all the time; I can't imagine a better way to make a living and I get antsy if I'm away from it even for a short time off. Most days when I enter the shop it feels like I'm about to play. I ask myself, "what'll I make today?" and then get right to it. I love my short commute downstairs. I'm a decent enough boss to work for. For about 40 years I've never really considered what I do a real job.

               And because I'm otherwise entirely unemployable.
